The Lochinvar L-SWR200N is a commercial condensing natural gas water heater built for high-demand hot water applications. Part of the Shield series, it delivers 199,999 BTU/h of input capacity with a 90-gallon glass-lined steel tank and a stainless steel heat exchanger. Direct spark ignition provides reliable, consistent startup without a standing pilot. With a recovery rate of 304 gallons per hour at 100 degrees F rise, this unit is engineered to keep up with the continuous draw typical in commercial and light-industrial settings. Licensed plumbing and mechanical contractors handle installation and commissioning of this class of equipment.
The L-SWR200N is suited for commercial installations where high recovery output and a large storage capacity are required. Typical applications include multi-unit residential buildings, hotels, restaurants, laundry facilities, and light industrial process water heating. The unit is not ASME-stamped, which is important to verify against local code requirements before specifying the unit for a jurisdiction that mandates ASME certification on commercial water heaters. It does not carry an Ultra Low NOx rating, so it may not be suitable for air-quality management districts with strict NOx emission limits.
Designed for commercial natural gas water heating systems requiring a non-ASME, high-recovery storage water heater with a 90-gallon tank and 199,999 BTU/h input. Verify local code and authority having jurisdiction requirements before installation.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or mechanical contractor in accordance with the International Plumbing Code, local gas codes, and the manufacturer's installation instructions. Shut off the gas supply and cold water inlet before making any connections or performing service. Venting must be installed per the 3-inch direct vent specifications and applicable codes — do not mix vent materials or reduce vent diameter. Verify that the gas supply line and regulator are sized to deliver adequate flow at the rated input before startup.
