The LITTELFUSE 0JTD004.TXID is a Class J time delay cartridge fuse rated at 4 amps for general-purpose overcurrent protection in commercial and industrial electrical systems. The time delay characteristic allows temporary inrush currents to pass without nuisance tripping, making it well suited for motor and transformer circuits. The cartridge body is constructed from melamine and measures 2.25 inches in overall length with a 0.8125 inch diameter. This indicating fuse provides a visual confirmation of a blown condition, reducing diagnostic time during service. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers of Class J fuses in fusible disconnect and panelboard applications.
The 0JTD004.TXID is designed for use in Class J fuseholders found in commercial and light industrial electrical distribution equipment. Its time delay rating makes it appropriate for circuits with motor loads, control transformers, and other equipment that draws elevated inrush current at startup. The indicating feature supports fast fault identification in multi-fuse disconnect panels where visual inspection is the first diagnostic step. This fuse is sold individually, with a minimum order quantity of 10 units per purchase.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class J fuseholders in general-purpose commercial and industrial electrical distribution equipment.
Class J fuses are installed by licensed electricians in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Always de-energize and lock out the disconnect or panel before removing or installing fuses. Use an appropriately rated fuse puller for cartridge fuses — never handle a potentially energized fuse with bare hands. Verify the fuseholder is rated for Class J fuses before installation to ensure proper fit and interrupting capacity.
