The Liquid Nails LN-602 is a waterproof construction adhesive formulated specifically for subfloor and deck assemblies. Packaged in a standard 10 oz tube, it is designed for use with caulking guns and delivers a high-strength bond in demanding job-site conditions. A key performance characteristic is its ability to penetrate and bond to wet, frozen, and pressure-treated lumber — materials that cause failures with standard adhesives. It meets ASTM D-3498 performance standards for subfloor adhesives and is rated for both interior and exterior applications. Installers in framing, finish carpentry, and general construction trades use this adhesive as part of subfloor and structural deck assemblies.
LN-602 is suited for residential and light commercial construction applications. Primary uses include bonding subfloor panels to floor joists, securing deck boards, fastening dock framing components, attaching sheathing, and setting siding panels. It is also used when setting pre-finished doors and windows where a waterproof, flexible bond is required. The interior and exterior rating makes it appropriate for both conditioned spaces and exposed outdoor assemblies. Note: this product is not available for purchase in VOC-restricted areas.
Designed for bonding subfloor panels, deck boards, sheathing, siding, and pre-finished doors and windows to wood framing including wet, frozen, and pressure-treated lumber in interior and exterior construction assemblies.
This adhesive is applied by a carpenter, framer, or general contractor using a standard caulking gun. Apply adhesive to framing members or substrate surfaces just before panel or board placement; work in manageable sections to avoid skinning before assembly. Follow local building codes and manufacturer substrate preparation guidelines. Not intended for use in VOC-restricted jurisdictions — verify local air quality regulations before specifying or installing.
