The LINCOLN ELECTRIC lined010211 is a mild steel, cellulosic stick electrode classified E6010, measuring 3/32 inches in diameter and 12 inches in length. Sold in a 50-pound easy-open can, this electrode is engineered for deep arc penetration and produces a light slag with minimal arc interference. It delivers reliable performance in all positions, including vertical and overhead welds, making it a dependable choice for structural, pipe, and general fabrication work. Licensed welders and certified pipe welders regularly specify E6010 electrodes for root passes and fill passes where penetration and positional control are critical.
The lined010211 is suited for direct-current electrode positive (DCEP) applications on mild and low-carbon steel base metals. It performs well in field welding, pipeline construction, structural steel erection, and maintenance repair work where out-of-position welding is common. The cellulosic coating produces a fast-freezing slag that helps welders maintain control on vertical-up and overhead joints without excess buildup interfering with the arc.
Designed as an OEM-specification E6010 cellulosic stick electrode for use with DCEP constant-current welding machines rated for shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
Installation is performed by a certified or licensed welder using a SMAW process machine set to DCEP polarity. Confirm amperage range against the electrode diameter and the welding procedure specification before striking an arc. Store electrodes in a dry environment, as cellulosic electrodes are moisture-sensitive and must not be baked or dried in a rod oven the way low-hydrogen electrodes are. Follow applicable AWS D1.1 or applicable pipeline welding codes for procedure qualification and welder certification requirements.
