The LINCOLN ELECTRIC KH521 is a stick welding electrode holder designed for manual shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) applications. Rated at 300 amps, it accepts electrodes up to 3/8 inch in diameter and uses a hammer-style cable connector for a secure, low-resistance connection to the welding lead. The holder measures 8 inches in length, 5.5 inches in depth, and 3.5 inches in height, giving it a compact profile suited for extended use in the field or shop. Licensed electricians, welding contractors, and certified welders are the primary installers and users of this equipment.
The KH521 is suited for light industrial, construction, fabrication, and maintenance welding tasks where a reliable electrode holder is needed at currents up to 300 amps. The hammer connector style simplifies cable attachment and detachment during setup or when swapping leads. Its compact size makes it practical for confined spaces and overhead work. This holder fits into standard stick welding setups using conventional welding cables and SMAW electrodes in the typical diameter range up to 3/8 inch.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement electrode holder compatible with standard SMAW welding setups accepting a hammer connector and electrode sizes through 3/8 inch diameter.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified welder or welding contractor familiar with SMAW equipment and applicable ANSI and AWS safety standards. Always de-energize the welding machine and disconnect power before attaching or removing the electrode holder from the welding lead. Inspect the cable connector and jaw mechanism for wear or damage before each use. Do not exceed the 300-amp rated capacity of the holder.
