The LINCOLN ELECTRIC ED030632 is a solid MIG welding wire rated to AWS ER70S-6 specification, supplied on a 2-pound spool with a wire diameter of 0.035 inches. ER70S-6 wire is formulated with higher levels of manganese and silicon deoxidizers, making it well suited for welding on base metals that carry mill scale, light rust, or surface contamination. It produces a smooth, stable arc with minimal spatter and clean bead appearance. Licensed welders, fabricators, and metalworking professionals use this wire for general-purpose GMAW applications across a wide range of carbon steel workpieces.
This wire is used in residential and light commercial fabrication, automotive repair, structural tack work, and general shop welding. The ER70S-6 classification makes it a go-to wire for short-circuit, globular, and spray transfer processes on mild and low-alloy carbon steels. The 2-pound spool size is practical for job-site use, light-duty MIG guns, and machines with smaller drive systems where a full 10- or 33-pound spool is not required.
Designed as an OEM-specification solid MIG wire for use with GMAW equipment accepting 0.035-inch wire and standard small-diameter spools. Verify drive roll groove size and liner inner diameter match 0.035-inch wire before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welder or welding technician. Power down the welding machine and release drive roll tension before loading the spool onto the spindle. Thread wire through the liner and contact tip, then re-tension drive rolls to manufacturer specifications for solid wire. Confirm shielding gas type and flow rate are appropriate for ER70S-6 wire before striking an arc.
