The LIFESAFETY POWER FPO75-D8PE4M1 is a 75-watt access control power supply designed to deliver regulated DC power in low-voltage security and access control systems. It provides 6 amps at 12 volts or 3 amps at 24 volts and includes 8 auxiliary outputs with PTC (polymeric positive temperature coefficient) overcurrent protection. The PTC protection automatically resets after an overcurrent event, eliminating the need to replace fuses in the field. This unit is installed by licensed low-voltage or security system technicians as part of access control panels, electric locking hardware, and related peripheral devices.
This power supply is suited for commercial and light-industrial access control installations where multiple output circuits must be independently protected. The 8 auxiliary outputs allow technicians to distribute power to readers, locks, REX devices, and other low-voltage access control loads from a single supply. The dual-voltage output capability makes it adaptable to systems requiring either 12-volt or 24-volt operation, reducing the need for separate supplies in mixed-voltage installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct installation unit for commercial access control power distribution applications requiring a 75-watt, multi-output, dual-voltage DC supply with PTC-protected auxiliary circuits.
Installation should be performed by a licensed low-voltage or security system technician in accordance with applicable local codes and NFPA 70 (NEC) Article 725 for Class 2 power-limited circuits. De-energize the panel and verify zero voltage on all conductors before making or breaking connections. Ensure the enclosure is properly grounded and that total connected load across all auxiliary outputs does not exceed the rated output capacity of the supply.
