The LEVITON TELCOM RKG15-RE is a 15-amp GFCI outlet in the Renu interchangeable-face system, finished in Red Delicious. GFCI outlets interrupt the circuit within milliseconds when a ground fault is detected, providing personnel protection in wet or damp locations as required by the NEC. The Renu platform allows the face cover to be swapped without replacing the electrical device behind it, making color updates or damage repairs straightforward. This outlet is sold as a single unit and is installed by licensed electricians in residential and light commercial applications.
The RKG15-RE fits standard single-gang electrical boxes and is suited for kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor enclosures, and any other NEC-mandated GFCI location. The Red Delicious finish coordinates with Renu-series switch and outlet covers for a consistent aesthetic across a wiring installation. The interchangeable face design is particularly useful in remodel work where color matching to existing decor is a requirement without a full device changeout.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation GFCI outlet compatible with standard single-gang electrical boxes in residential and light commercial wiring systems using the Leviton Renu interchangeable-face platform.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. Always shut off the branch circuit breaker and verify the circuit is de-energized with a voltage tester before wiring the device. GFCI outlets must be installed with correct line and load terminal connections; reversing these terminals will prevent proper ground-fault protection. Test the GFCI function after installation using the built-in test and reset buttons before returning the circuit to service.
