The LEVITON TELCOM MT830-IGW is a duplex electrical receptacle rated at 20 amps and 125 volts, built to hospital-grade standards with tamper-resistant and isolated-ground construction. It is designed for installation in commercial and healthcare electrical systems where device protection, patient safety, and code compliance are critical priorities. Licensed electricians install this receptacle in branch circuits requiring isolated-ground wiring to minimize electrical noise interference with sensitive equipment. The white finish and duplex configuration follow standard NEC device requirements for commercial wiring applications.
This receptacle is suited for healthcare facilities, laboratories, data centers, and commercial environments where isolated-ground circuits are specified. The hospital-grade rating indicates the device has passed rigorous testing for mechanical durability and electrical integrity. Tamper-resistant shutters restrict access to the contact slots, meeting NEC requirements for receptacle installations in pediatric and public-access areas. It is sold as a single unit and is intended for professional installation by a qualified electrician.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation duplex receptacle for 20-amp, 125-volt isolated-ground branch circuits in commercial, healthcare, and laboratory electrical systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the branch circuit at the panel before beginning any wiring work. The isolated-ground terminal must be wired to a dedicated equipment-grounding conductor that is isolated from the grounding path in the metal raceway or box. Do not connect the isolated-ground terminal to the equipment grounding conductor of the raceway system, as this defeats the noise-isolation function of the device.
