The LEVITON TELCOM L8566 is a half-wave pull grip with a blind eye configuration, designed for use in wire and cable pulling applications. Pull grips of this type secure around the cable jacket and transmit pulling force to the conductor assembly, allowing installers to feed cable through conduit, trays, or raceway systems without damaging the jacket. The blind eye end attaches to a pull line or swivel. This fitting is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for cables in the 2.00 to 2 inch diameter range. Electrical and low-voltage contractors are the primary installers.
This pull grip is suited for residential and commercial installation work where cable must be routed through conduit runs or cable management systems. It is particularly useful on longer pulls where controlled, even distribution of pulling tension across the cable jacket is required. The half-wave mesh design expands under load to grip the cable without crushing or deforming the jacket, making it a practical choice for pulling larger-diameter cables through tight pathways.
Designed as an OEM-style hardware accessory pull grip for cables in the 2.00 to 2 inch diameter range in standard conduit and raceway pulling applications.
Pull grips of this type are installed by licensed electricians or low-voltage cable technicians following applicable NEC guidelines for cable installation. Before pulling, confirm the cable diameter falls within the grip's rated range to ensure secure engagement. Attach the blind eye to a swivel and pull line to prevent twisting the cable during the pull. Do not exceed the rated pulling tension for the cable type being installed.
