The LEVITON TELCOM L7554 is a nylon strain relief grip and cord seal designed to secure and protect cables and cords where they pass through enclosures, panels, or junction boxes. This fitting grips the outer jacket of the cord, relieving mechanical stress on internal conductors and preventing pull-out forces from reaching termination points. It also seals the entry point against dust and minor environmental intrusion. The L7554 is sized for a 0.500-inch cord diameter and is constructed from nylon for lightweight, corrosion-resistant service. Electricians and low-voltage installers use this type of fitting during panel wiring, device enclosure builds, and structured wiring installations.
This strain relief is suited for residential and light commercial electrical and low-voltage wiring applications. It is appropriate wherever a cord or cable must pass through a knockout or drilled hole and requires both mechanical retention and environmental sealing at that penetration point. Typical uses include power supply enclosures, structured wiring panels, control cabinets, and device housings where cord management and strain protection are required.
Designed as a standard OEM-style strain relief fitting for use with cords measuring 0.500 inches in diameter in electrical enclosures, structured wiring panels, and control cabinets.
Installation is performed by licensed electricians or qualified low-voltage technicians. De-energize all circuits in the enclosure before fitting the strain relief. The fitting is typically inserted into a knockout or drilled hole sized to match the fitting body, then secured with a locknut on the interior side. Follow applicable NEC requirements for cord and cable protection when routing conductors through enclosures.
