The LEVITON TELCOM AGTR2-HGT is a 20-amp hospital grade combination AFCI/GFCI receptacle designed for use in demanding electrical installations where both arc-fault and ground-fault protection are required. This dual-function device detects dangerous arc-fault conditions and ground-fault leakage current, providing two critical layers of protection in a single outlet. Hospital grade construction meets the elevated mechanical and electrical requirements of healthcare facilities and other environments where reliable, continuous-duty performance is essential. Licensed electricians install this receptacle in new construction and retrofit applications.
This receptacle is suited for hospital patient care areas, outpatient facilities, and any commercial or institutional setting that requires hospital grade outlets per NEC requirements. Its combination AFCI and GFCI protection in one device simplifies compliance with code sections governing both arc-fault and ground-fault protection without requiring separate upstream devices. It is sold individually and is appropriate for single-gang outlet box installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation receptacle for standard single-gang electrical boxes in hospital grade commercial and healthcare electrical systems.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify the absence of voltage with a meter before beginning any wiring work. Follow the manufacturer wiring diagram on the device for line, load, and ground connections. Hospital grade receptacles in patient care areas are subject to additional inspection requirements under NFPA 99; confirm local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements before installation.
