The LEVITON TELCOM AFTR1-HGR is an Arc Fault Circuit Interrupter (AFCI) receptacle rated at 15 amps and 125 volts. AFCI devices detect dangerous arcing conditions in branch circuits and interrupt power before an electrical fire can ignite. This receptacle is designed for installation by licensed electricians in residential and light commercial wiring applications. It provides protection at the point of use, monitoring the circuit continuously for both parallel and series arc faults.
