The LEVITON TELCOM 6D460-1E is a Category 6 unshielded twisted pair (UTP) patch cord designed for structured cabling installations in commercial and residential network environments. This 1-foot cord provides a short, low-loss copper connection between network equipment, patch panels, and wall jacks. Cat6 construction supports Gigabit Ethernet and beyond, making it a standard choice for data runs where signal integrity and cable management both matter. The black jacket allows straightforward color-coding in high-density patch bay environments. Network technicians, low-voltage contractors, and IT installers work with this type of cord daily.
This patch cord is suited for use in structured cabling systems including server rooms, telecom closets, office workstations, and data centers. The 1-foot length is specifically useful for panel-to-switch connections where cable slack must be minimized. It is sold individually, one cord per unit, making it easy to order exact quantities for a given rack or cabinet layout.
Designed as a standard Cat6 UTP patch cord compatible with 8P8C (RJ45) keystone jacks, patch panels, and network switches in 568A and 568B wired structured cabling systems.
Low-voltage technicians and IT professionals install Cat6 patch cords without special tools beyond standard cable management practices. Patch cords should never be kinked, stapled, or bent beyond the minimum bend radius, as doing so degrades signal performance. All active network equipment should be powered down or ports confirmed inactive before repatching in live environments to avoid network disruption. Installation should follow TIA-568 standards for structured cabling.
