The LEVITON TELCOM 62460-3R is a Category 6 Plus patch cord used to create structured cabling connections in low-voltage network installations. This 3-foot red cable provides a direct copper data link between network switches, patch panels, and end devices. Cat 6 Plus construction supports high-speed Ethernet applications and is terminated with standard RJ45 connectors on each end. Licensed low-voltage technicians and network cabling installers commonly deploy this cord in both new construction and retrofit data rooms, telecommunications closets, and workstation drops.
This patch cord is suited for horizontal and equipment-bay patching in commercial and residential structured cabling systems. The red jacket provides visual identification for port organization, zone separation, or VLAN marking in high-density patch panel environments. At 3 feet in length, it is sized for short equipment-bay runs between adjacent rack-mounted devices or from patch panels to nearby switches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard addition for use with Cat 6 and Cat 6 Plus patch panels and keystone jack systems in structured low-voltage cabling installations.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage or data cabling technicians following ANSI/TIA-568 structured cabling standards. Disconnect or power down active network ports before repatching to prevent unintended network disruption. Avoid sharp bends beyond the cable minimum bend radius to maintain signal integrity. Cables should be routed and dressed using proper cable management hardware to reduce strain on connectors.
