The LEVITON TELCOM 49256-D48 is a 48-port angled QuickPort patch panel designed for structured cabling installations in network distribution frames and telecommunications rooms. Built for 2U rack space, it accepts QuickPort snap-in connectors and presents ports at an angle to reduce patch cord stress and improve cable management behind the panel. Network technicians and low-voltage cabling contractors install this panel in standard 19-inch EIA racks and enclosures as part of a horizontal cabling termination system.
This panel is suited for commercial and enterprise structured cabling environments where high port density and organized patch cord routing are required. The angled port design directs patch cords away from the panel face, reducing bend radius strain and making moves, adds, and changes faster in densely populated racks. It is commonly deployed in main distribution areas, intermediate distribution frames, and equipment rooms.
Designed as an OEM-style patch panel compatible with standard QuickPort snap-in connectors for use in 19-inch EIA-standard rack enclosures and telecommunications distribution frames.
Installation is performed by licensed low-voltage cabling contractors or qualified network technicians in accordance with TIA-568 structured cabling standards. De-energize any active equipment in the rack before mounting hardware and dressing cables. Secure the panel to rack rails using appropriate cage nuts and mounting screws before inserting QuickPort connectors. Follow manufacturer connector seating instructions and maintain minimum bend radius on all patch cords after termination.
