The LEVITON MFG CO S07-CS220-2IS is a commercial specification grade 2-pole grounding toggle switch rated for 20 amps at 120/277 volts. Built for professional electrical installations, it features silver-cadmium oxide contacts for extended contact life and reliable switching performance. Captive mounting screws speed up installation, while large-head terminal screws are backed out and staked to allow fast side wiring with up to No. 10 copper wire. A heavy-gauge, rust-resistant steel mounting strap and break-off plaster ears support accurate, secure alignment in standard electrical boxes. Sold in a package of 6 units. This switch is appropriate for licensed electricians working on commercial and industrial wiring projects.
This 2-pole toggle switch is suited for commercial lighting circuits, motor loads, and general-purpose switching applications in both new construction and retrofit wiring. The 120/277-volt rating makes it compatible with single-phase commercial branch circuits as well as fluorescent lighting systems running on 277-volt feeds. Motor load ratings of 1 HP at 120 volts and 2 HP at 240 volts extend its use to small motor applications. The 6-unit package quantity is appropriate for electricians stocking service vans or completing multi-outlet commercial jobs.
Designed as a commercial specification grade replacement or new-installation 2-pole grounding toggle switch for standard single-gang electrical boxes in 120-volt and 277-volt branch circuit applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify zero voltage with a meter before wiring. Use the side wiring terminals with up to No. 10 copper conductors as specified; do not exceed the rated wire gauge. Secure the mounting strap to the box using the captive screws and break off plaster ears as needed for flush alignment.
