The LEVITON MFG CO S02-CS415-2WS is a commercial specification grade 4-way toggle switch designed for long-service-life applications in professional electrical installations. Rated at 15 amps and 120/277 volts, it handles both standard residential voltage and the 277-volt single-phase circuits common in commercial lighting systems. Large silver-cadmium oxide contacts are engineered for durability across high-cycle environments. Captive mounting screws and large-head terminal screws that are backed out and staked from the factory speed up rough-in and trim-out for electricians working under time pressure. Sold in a package of 10 units.
This switch is suited for commercial and light industrial lighting circuits where a 4-way switching configuration is required, allowing a single light or lighting zone to be controlled from three or more locations. The 277-volt rating makes it appropriate for commercial fluorescent and LED lighting branch circuits. It is also rated at 1/2 HP at 120 volts and 2 HP at 240 volts, covering motor-load applications where code-compliant switching is needed. Licensed electricians performing commercial tenant improvement, new construction, or renovation work are the primary installers.
Designed as a commercial specification grade 4-way toggle switch for use in standard single-gang wiring device applications on 120-volt or 277-volt branch circuits requiring multi-location switching control.
Installation must be performed by a qualified, licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before making any connections. Side wiring accommodates up to No. 10 copper wire; back-wiring is not indicated for this device. Confirm all wiring connections are secure and the device is properly grounded before restoring power.
