The LEVITON MFG CO RN2-T5635-0BW is a tamper-resistant duplex wall outlet with an integrated 30-watt Type-C/C USB Power Delivery charger built into the face. It replaces a standard receptacle and adds adapter-free USB-C charging directly at the outlet, keeping the 15-amp AC receptacles free for other loads. Power Delivery technology supplies higher wattage on demand, enabling faster charge rates for phones, tablets, laptops, and wearables. An internal thermoregulator and overcurrent protection circuit safeguard connected devices during charging. Licensed electricians install this device as a direct swap for any standard single-gang receptacle location.
This outlet is designed for residential and light commercial applications where USB-C charging at the outlet level reduces cord clutter and eliminates wall adapters. Suitable for installation in home offices, bedrooms, living rooms, guest rooms, and hotel rooms. The tamper-resistant shutter mechanism meets NEC requirements for tamper-resistant receptacles in dwelling units. The package contains 3 outlets, making it practical for multi-room installations or service calls requiring multiple replacements. The white finish is compatible with standard decorator-style wall plates.
Designed as a direct replacement for standard 15-amp single-gang duplex receptacles in residential and light commercial wiring. Compatible with devices that accept USB Type-C Power Delivery charging, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and wearables.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and all applicable local codes. Always de-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify the absence of voltage with a non-contact tester before removing the existing receptacle. This device requires a single-gang box with adequate depth to accommodate the outlet body and wiring connections. Do not install on circuits exceeding 15 amps.
