The LEVITON MFG CO R99-GFNT2-0RI is a 20-amp, 125-volt ivory slim self-testing SmartLock Pro GFCI duplex receptacle designed for commercial and residential electrical installations. The built-in self-test function automatically verifies GFCI protection at regular intervals, eliminating the need for manual testing. An LED indicator light provides immediate visual status feedback. The SmartLock Pro design prevents the outlet from being reset if wired incorrectly — a line-load reversal or mis-wired condition locks out reset capability, ensuring a non-functional receptacle cannot be mistaken for a protected one. The impact-resistant thermoplastic body resists power surges and corrosion for long service life.
This GFCI receptacle is suited for wet or damp location circuits requiring 20-amp ground fault protection, including kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor circuits, and commercial spaces governed by NEC requirements. The slim profile aids installation in shallow electrical boxes. Each unit ships with a wallplate, faceplate, and self-grounding clip. The backwire screw pressure plate provides two holes per termination for efficient wiring, with screws backed out from the factory. Package quantity is 6 units per pack, sold per each (EA).
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install GFCI duplex receptacle for 20-amp, 125-volt branch circuits requiring ground fault protection per NEC Article 210.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in compliance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Always de-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify absence of voltage with a meter before wiring. The SmartLock Pro feature will permanently lock out the outlet if line and load leads are swapped — verify correct termination before energizing. Do not use this outlet as a replacement on circuits where downstream GFCI devices are daisy-chained unless load-side wiring is intentional and verified.
