The LEVITON MFG CO R71-05362-IGS is an Industrial Specification Grade duplex receptacle designed for installations where electronic equipment requires a clean, isolated ground path. The orange color and triangle marking on the face identify the isolated grounding circuit, which separates transient currents from the equipment ground to protect sensitive loads such as computers, cash registers, and medical instruments. The molded nylon body provides durability in demanding commercial and industrial environments. Rated at 20 amps and 125 volts with a NEMA 5-20R configuration, this outlet meets the electrical demands of high-draw branch circuits. A green dot on the face indicates UL listing for hospital use.
This receptacle is intended for commercial, industrial, and healthcare facilities where power quality and equipment protection are critical. Common installation scenarios include data centers, medical offices, point-of-sale environments, and any location running sensitive electronic loads on dedicated or isolated-ground branch circuits. Each package contains 5 units. The isolated ground design supports both standard and 2-circuit wiring configurations using the break-off fins. Feed-through and back-wire capability through 8 deep-funneled wire wells adds flexibility during rough-in and device installation.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize the branch circuit at the panel and verify zero voltage with a meter before terminating wires. Accepts up to No. 10 copper wire at the terminal screws. Isolated ground receptacles must be wired to a dedicated insulated ground conductor run back to the panel; do not bond the isolated ground to the standard equipment ground at the device or box.
