The LEVITON MFG CO R62-W5320-T0W is a tamper-resistant, weather-resistant grounded duplex receptacle rated at 15 amps and 125 volts with a NEMA 5-15R configuration. It is built for residential and commercial electrical installations where code mandates both tamper resistance and weather resistance at the same outlet location. The body is constructed from UV-stabilized engineered thermoplastic rated for high cold-impact resistance, and the unit ships in a package of 6. Stainless steel straps and mounting screws are included. This receptacle is UL listed and CSA certified for tamper-resistant devices and meets UL 498 requirements for weather-resistant receptacles, satisfying 2008 NEC requirements.
This receptacle is suited for damp or wet locations where code requires covered, tamper-resistant outlets. Typical installations include exterior walls, garages, bathrooms, kitchens, laundry areas, and other locations defined by the NEC as requiring tamper-resistant protection. The package quantity of 6 makes it a practical choice for new construction, service upgrades, or multi-outlet rough-in work. A compatible in-use or weatherproof cover plate is required by code for damp or wet location installations and must be sourced separately.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation duplex receptacle for standard single-gang electrical boxes in residential and light commercial applications requiring NEMA 5-15R tamper-resistant and weather-resistant outlets.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the NEC and applicable local codes. Always shut off circuit power at the breaker panel and verify the circuit is de-energized with a non-contact voltage tester before wiring. Code requires a weatherproof or in-use cover when this receptacle is installed in a damp or wet location; the cover is not included. Do not exceed the 15 amp, 125 volt rating of this device.
