The LEVITON MFG CO R11-GFTR2-0KI is a commercial-grade, tamper-resistant ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) outlet rated at 20 amps. It features a self-test function that automatically verifies GFCI protection is active, eliminating the need for manual button testing on a scheduled basis. The outlet uses a 2-pole, 3-wire configuration with brass double wipe contacts and clamps for reliable electrical connection. A self-grounding clip simplifies installation in metal boxes. Back and side wiring capability gives electricians flexibility in tight junction box conditions. This outlet is suited for commercial and residential installations where NEC tamper-resistant requirements apply.
This GFCI outlet is designed for use in commercial and residential settings where 20-amp, 125-volt GFCI protection is required. Typical installation locations include kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor receptacles, and other areas defined by NEC Article 210 as requiring ground fault protection. The 20-amp feed-through rating allows downstream receptacles to be protected from a single device. The tamper-resistant shutter mechanism meets NEC requirements for child-resistant receptacles in applicable occupancies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation GFCI outlet for standard 20-amp, 2-pole, 3-wire commercial and residential branch circuits requiring ground fault protection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit at the breaker panel and verify voltage is absent with a calibrated meter before wiring. Follow the line and load terminal labeling on the device for correct feed-through wiring. Do not exceed the device amp rating when calculating circuit load.
