The LESSO UV437-211 is a Schedule 40 PVC reducing bushing with a spigot-by-socket (SxS) end configuration and UV-resistant construction. It transitions a 1.5-inch pipe or fitting down to a 1-inch socket connection within pressure-rated PVC piping systems. The UV-resistant (UVR) formula makes this bushing suitable for exposed outdoor installations where standard PVC would degrade under prolonged sunlight. Plumbers and irrigation contractors install this fitting in both potable water and irrigation applications where a smooth, inline diameter reduction is required without adding a coupling and a separate reducer.
This bushing is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, pool and spa piping, and irrigation distribution systems. The SxS configuration allows the spigot end to insert directly into a socket fitting or valve body while accepting a 1-inch pipe into the socket end. It is appropriate for above-ground and exposed outdoor runs where UV exposure is a factor in material selection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for Schedule 40 PVC piping systems requiring a 1.5-inch to 1-inch spigot-by-socket reducing bushing.
Installation is performed by plumbers and irrigation technicians using standard PVC solvent cement and primer per manufacturer instructions and applicable plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before cutting in or replacing any fitting. Allow full cure time for solvent-welded joints before restoring pressure. Do not use this fitting with CPVC solvent or adhesives not rated for PVC Schedule 40 fittings.
