The LENOX QP22021CL16333 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in production and fabrication environments. At 196 inches (16 feet 4 inches) long and 1-1/2 inches wide, it is sized for large vertical and horizontal bandsaws found in industrial shops. The blade runs a variable pitch tooth form at 2 to 3 TPI, which distributes cutting forces across the tooth engagement zone to reduce vibration and improve cut quality on a wide range of cross-sections. The tooth material is M42-grade high speed steel, a cobalt-enhanced alloy that retains hardness and edge life when cutting tough metals including stainless steel and titanium.
This blade is suited for production metalworking shops, maintenance facilities, and fabrication operations that regularly cut alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, titanium, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch design makes it especially effective on structural shapes, solid bar, and tubing where a fixed-pitch blade would tend to chatter or strip teeth. It is not configured for contour cutting and is intended for straight production cuts.
Designed as a replacement or production-supply blade for large horizontal and vertical bandsaws accepting a 196-inch (16 feet 4 inches) loop length with a 1-1/2-inch blade width. Verify your machine's wheel diameter and blade guide specifications before installation.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machine operator or millwright following the saw manufacturer's procedures. Disconnect and lock out power to the saw before opening blade guards or handling the blade. Wear cut-resistant gloves when uncoiling or threading the blade, as the welded loop can spring open under tension. Confirm blade tension, tracking alignment, and guide bearing clearance before resuming cuts, and allow the blade to run unloaded for a short break-in period on initial startup.
