The LENOX QP17019CL14667 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in fabrication shops and industrial environments. Measuring 14 feet 8 inches in length and 1 inch wide with a 0.035-inch thickness, this blade runs on horizontal and vertical band saws sized to that wheel-to-wheel dimension. The variable 4 to 6 TPI pitch pattern and Vari-Raker tooth set reduce vibration and harmonic chatter during cuts, which extends blade life and improves cut quality on a wide range of metal stock. The M42+ high speed steel tooth material handles heat and abrasion better than standard M2 grades, making it suitable for interrupted cuts and hard alloys including titanium and stainless steel.
This blade is suited for production and job-shop use where a single blade must handle multiple materials in a single shift. Typical applications include structural steel fabrication, aerospace component cutting, mold and die shops, and maintenance facilities that cut alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, and titanium. A licensed machinist or experienced fabricator installs this blade on a matching band saw. It is not intended for wood, composite, or contour cutting operations.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for band saws requiring a welded blade loop of 14 feet 8 inches in length, 1 inch wide, and 0.035 inches thick. Verify wheel-to-wheel blade path length, blade width capacity, and blade guide settings on the host saw before installation.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or fabrication technician. Disconnect and lock out electrical power to the band saw before removing the old blade or mounting the new one. Confirm proper blade tension using the saw manufacturer's tension gauge or tensioning scale for 1-inch-wide bi-metal blades — incorrect tension is the leading cause of premature blade breakage. Check blade guides, thrust bearings, and wheel tires for wear before running a new blade, and allow a short break-in period at reduced feed rate on the first few cuts.
