The LENOX LEN10833 is a grit-style reciprocating saw blade designed for cutting applications that standard toothed blades cannot handle cleanly. Measuring 8 inches in length by 3/4 inch wide and 0.4 inches in diameter profile, this blade uses an abrasive grit edge rather than set teeth, making it suited for materials like fiberglass, ceramic tile, cast iron, and other hard or brittle substrates. Weighing just 0.08 pounds, it is a single-blade unit sold individually. HVAC, plumbing, and general mechanical trades reach for grit blades when cutting through materials that would strip or dull a conventional bi-metal blade quickly.
This blade fits standard reciprocating saw tool chucks and is used in trade applications where technicians need to cut through abrasive or non-ferrous materials during rough-in, retrofit, or demolition work. Typical scenarios include cutting fiberglass duct board, ceramic or quarry tile, cast iron pipe sections, and similar hard materials encountered in residential and light commercial service work. Its compact, individual packaging makes it easy to carry as a single spare on a service call.
Designed as a standard universal-shank reciprocating saw blade compatible with most reciprocating saws that accept standard tang-style blade attachments.
Installation and blade changes should be performed by a qualified tradesperson with the tool unplugged or battery removed before swapping blades. Follow the tool manufacturer's blade-change procedure and ensure the blade is fully seated and locked before operation. Wear appropriate eye and hand protection when cutting abrasive materials, as grit blades generate fine particulate. Inspect the blade for wear or damage before each use and replace if the grit surface is visibly depleted.
