The LENOX 97514QPB206250 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and industrial environments. The blade measures 246 inches (20 feet 6 inches) in overall length and 1.5 inches in width, with a 0.05 inch back thickness and a 0.080 inch kerf width. It features a variable 4 to 6 TPI pitch pattern with a Vari-Raker tooth set and a positive rake angle, characteristics that promote chip control and reduce vibration during cuts. The M42 high speed steel tooth material provides edge retention when cutting tough metals. This blade is installed by machinists, tool and die technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals operating vertical or horizontal band saws.
This blade is suited for cutting alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The variable pitch design makes it effective across a range of material thicknesses and cross-sections encountered in fabrication, toolroom, and production cutting work. It is not designed for contour cutting applications. The QXP series designation places this blade in a line built for high-alloy and hard-to-cut materials where a standard carbon blade would wear prematurely.
Designed as an OEM-style welded replacement bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical band saws with a 246-inch (20 feet 6 inches) blade capacity and a 1.5-inch blade guide width.
Band saw blade installation should be performed by qualified personnel with the machine fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide width, and blade tensioning range against the saw manufacturer specifications before mounting. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled blades. Set blade tension and tracking according to the saw manufacturer guidelines before resuming operation.
