The LENOX 95970QPB165030 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and fabrication environments. Measuring 198 inches (16 feet 6 inches) long and 1-1/2 inches wide at 0.05 inches thick, it runs on horizontal and vertical band saws in the corresponding wheel size. The blade features a variable-pitch tooth form in the 3 to 4 TPI range, which reduces harmonic vibration and improves cut quality across a wide range of stock profiles. High Speed Steel teeth are electron-beam welded to a spring steel back, combining flexibility with cutting-edge hardness. This blade is part of the LENOX QXP series and is intended for installation by millwrights, maintenance mechanics, or metal fabricators.
This blade is suited for production cutting of structural shapes, solid bar stock, tubing, and plate material in job shop and manufacturing settings. Its M42+ material grade and positive rake angle make it effective on difficult-to-cut alloys including stainless steel, titanium, tool steel, mold steel, and bearing steel, as well as common carbon steel and aluminum stock. The variable pitch pattern minimizes chatter on interrupted cuts and thin-wall sections. It is not designed for contour cutting applications.
Designed as a direct-fit welded replacement blade for band saw machines requiring a 198-inch (16 feet 6 inches) blade length with a 1-1/2-inch width. Compatible material applications include alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, and titanium.
Installation should be performed by a qualified millwright or maintenance technician with the band saw powered down, locked out, and tagged out per applicable LOTO procedures before blade removal or installation. Verify wheel diameter and blade guide spacing match the 198-inch blade length and 1-1/2-inch width before tensioning. Use appropriate blade tension settings for bi-metal blades as specified by the band saw manufacturer. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade.
