The LENOX 93274RPB185740 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional fabrication and maintenance environments. Measuring 18 feet 10 inches in length and 1.5 inches wide at 0.05 inches thick, this blade mounts on horizontal and vertical band saws sized for industrial work. The variable-pitch tooth form runs 5 to 8 TPI and uses a Vari-Raker tooth set to reduce vibration and improve chip evacuation across varying material thicknesses. Tooth material is M42 high speed steel bonded to a spring steel back, a construction that balances edge hardness with body flexibility during continuous cutting cycles. Licensed blade technicians and millwrights are the primary installers.
This blade is engineered for production cutting of structural steel, tube, pipe, solid bar, and bundled sections where variable pitch reduces harmonic vibration and extends blade life compared to a constant-pitch alternative. The RX Plus series is positioned for general-purpose industrial metal cutting where stock cross sections change frequently during a shift. The 0.080-inch kerf width and positive rake angle support aggressive feed rates without excessive tooth wear. Shops running mixed ferrous and non-ferrous stock will find the variable-pitch geometry accommodating across material transitions without a blade change.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for industrial horizontal and vertical band saws accepting a 1.5-inch wide blade in the 18-foot 10-inch loop length.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician with the saw fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures before any blade change. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide spacing, and blade tension specifications on the saw manufacturer's nameplate before mounting. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled bandsaw blades, as spring tension in the blade loop can cause rapid uncoiling. Allow a short break-in period at reduced feed pressure on new blades to seat the tooth set before applying full production feed rates.
