The LENOX 91512QPB154650 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and fabrication environments. The blade measures 183 inches long and 1-1/4 inches wide, with a 0.042-inch body thickness and a kerf width of 0.068 inches. The variable-pitch tooth form ranges from 4 to 6 TPI, reducing harmonic vibration and improving cut quality across varying material cross-sections. The high-speed steel teeth are rated M42-plus grade and set in a Vari-Raker pattern with a positive rake angle. Bandsaws operators and metal fabricators rely on this blade for consistent, controlled cuts through a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
This blade is suited for production and maintenance environments where a single blade must handle multiple material types without frequent changeovers. Typical applications include cutting alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, aluminum, other non-ferrous metals, and titanium. The variable pitch and positive rake angle make it especially effective on irregular or mixed-profile workpieces. It is not designed for contour cutting. The QXP series designation places it in a performance tier intended for high-alloy and difficult-to-cut materials where standard carbon blades fall short.
Designed as a welded replacement bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical metal-cutting bandsaws requiring a 183-inch blade length and 1-1/4-inch blade width.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician with the machine fully powered down and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify blade tension, tracking, and guide bearing clearances before resuming operation. Handle the coiled blade with cut-resistant gloves, as the teeth and spring-steel back present laceration hazards during uncoiling. Confirm the host saw is rated for the 1-1/4-inch blade width before mounting.
