The LENOX 87877CLB92895 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for continuous cutting in metal-cutting bandsaws. It measures 114 inches long and 3/4 inch wide with a 0.035-inch body thickness and a variable pitch of 6 to 10 TPI. The blade features an M42 high speed steel tooth edge bonded to a spring steel back, delivering heat resistance and tooth durability through demanding cuts. A Vari-Raker tooth set combined with variable tooth form reduces vibration and harmonics during cutting. This blade is suited for use by machinists, metal fabricators, and maintenance technicians working with horizontal or vertical metal-cutting bandsaw equipment.
This blade handles a broad range of metal-cutting applications including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable 6 to 10 TPI pitch makes it effective on solid bar stock, tubing, and structural shapes of varying cross-section. It is a practical choice for production shops, job shops, and maintenance operations where a single blade must handle multiple material types without frequent changeovers. Contour cutting is not an intended application for this blade.
Designed as a direct-fit welded replacement blade for metal-cutting bandsaws accepting a 114-inch loop length and 3/4-inch blade width. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and tension specifications on the host saw before installation.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician with the saw fully de-energized and locked out per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled or uncoiled blade. Set blade tension and tracking according to the saw manufacturer specifications before powering the machine. Inspect blade guides, thrust bearings, and wheel tires for wear before installing a new blade.
