The LENOX 85686CLB82490 is a bi-metal welded bandsaw blade built for production cutting of metals across a wide range of material types. The blade measures 98 inches in total length and 3/4 inch in width, with a 0.035-inch body thickness and a variable-pitch tooth pattern spanning 10 to 14 TPI. Tooth material is M42 high speed steel, offering hardness and heat resistance suited to interrupted cuts and difficult alloys. The Vari-Raker tooth set reduces vibration and chip load, extending blade life in high-cycle applications. Licensed HVAC techs, plumbers, and metal fabricators working with structural and stainless stock will find this blade appropriate for demanding shop and field cutting tasks.
This blade is designed for vertical and horizontal band saws with a compatible wheel size accepting a 98-inch blade. It handles a broad material application range including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch and Vari-Raker set make it particularly effective on thin-wall tubing, solid bar, and mixed-section cuts where a fixed-pitch blade would generate excessive vibration or chatter. It is sold individually, with one blade per package.
Designed for band saws accepting a 98-inch welded loop blade that is 3/4 inch wide and 0.035 inches thick. Confirm wheel spacing and blade guide clearance on the target saw before installation.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician with the band saw fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify blade tension and tracking before powering the saw, using the saw manufacturer's recommended tensioning guide for 3/4-inch blades. Do not exceed the rated blade speed for the material being cut. Inspect weld integrity and tooth condition before each use; discard any blade showing cracks, missing teeth, or weld separation.
