The LENOX 82627GTB113505 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and fabrication environments. Part of the Contestor GT series, it measures 138 inches (11 feet 6 inches) in length and 1-1/4 inches in width, with a 0.042-inch blade thickness and a variable 2 to 3 TPI tooth pattern. The M42 high-speed steel tooth material and positive rake angle combine to deliver aggressive cutting action and extended blade life on a wide range of metals. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and fabrication professionals installing or cutting structural components will find this blade suited for precision work on both ferrous and non-ferrous stock.
This blade is designed for horizontal and vertical band saws used in metal fabrication shops, mechanical contractors, and industrial maintenance settings. The variable pitch tooth form reduces harmonic vibration during cuts, which is particularly useful when transitioning between varying material cross-sections. Its Vari-Set tooth set and ground cutting edge provide consistent kerf control across alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, nickel alloy, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, and other non-ferrous metals.
Compatible with band saws accepting a 138-inch (11 feet 6 inches) blade loop, 1-1/4 inches wide. Suitable for cutting alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, mold steel, nickel alloy, titanium, tool steel, and bearing steel. Contour cutting is not recommended for this blade.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with band saw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and fully de-energize the saw before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Verify blade tension and wheel tracking alignment before resuming operation, following the saw manufacturer's specifications and applicable OSHA machine-guarding requirements. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling and coiling bandsaw blades.
