The LENOX 82246D2B144445 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for continuous cutting in metal fabrication, woodworking, and general industrial applications. Measuring 175 inches in length and 0.5 inches wide with a 0.025-inch thickness, this blade features a variable pitch tooth pattern ranging from 8 to 12 TPI. The cutting edge is milled and toothed with a Vari-Raker tooth set and a no-angle rake geometry. The M42 high speed steel teeth are bonded to a spring steel back, giving the blade both cutting durability and flex resistance during operation. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and metalworking trades rely on this format for portable and stationary bandsaw use.
This blade is suited for cutting a wide range of materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and wood. The variable pitch tooth form reduces vibration and harmonics during cuts, making it effective on both thin-walled and solid-section stock. It is commonly installed on stationary floor-mounted bandsaws and portable band cutting units in shop and field environments where contour cutting capability is required.
Designed as a welded replacement bandsaw blade for stationary and portable bandsaws accepting a 175-inch loop length with a 0.5-inch blade width.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by qualified personnel familiar with the saw manufacturer guidelines and applicable OSHA machine guarding requirements. Power down and lock out the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Verify blade tension and tracking adjustment according to the saw manufacturer specifications before resuming operation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade, as the teeth present a laceration hazard during installation.
