The LENOX 81971D2B103175 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal and multi-material cutting applications. Measuring 125 inches in overall length and 1/2 inch wide with a 0.025-inch blade thickness, it features a variable-pitch tooth form at 8 to 12 TPI for smooth, efficient cuts across a wide range of material thicknesses. The M42 high speed steel tooth material provides heat and wear resistance during high-cycle production cutting. The spring steel back resists fatigue and flexion throughout long cuts. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors as well as fabricators will find this blade suited to stationary vertical and horizontal band saw equipment.
This blade is designed for contour and straight cutting on alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and wood. The variable-pitch Vari-Raker tooth set reduces harmonic vibration, making it appropriate for both thin-walled tubing and solid stock. It is well suited to production shops, MRO environments, and trade service vehicles equipped with portable band saw setups where a single blade must handle multiple substrate types in the field.
Designed as a welded-loop replacement blade for band saw machines accepting a 125-inch blade length and 1/2-inch blade width. Suitable for cutting alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, and wood as specified by the manufacturer.
Band saw blade replacement should be performed by qualified personnel with the machine fully de-energized and the power source locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify that blade length, width, and thickness match the machine manufacturer specifications before installation. Ensure blade guides and blade tension are set per the band saw manufacturer recommendations before resuming operation. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled or uncoiled blade.
