The LENOX 81880MAB154800 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for contour cutting across a wide range of materials in production and maintenance environments. The blade measures 15 feet 9 inches long and 0.5 inches wide, with a 0.02-inch thickness and a kerf width of 0.037 inches. The cutting edge combines a High Speed Steel M42 tooth with a spring steel back, producing a blade that resists heat and fatigue through extended cutting cycles. At 24 teeth per inch with a wavy tooth set and standard constant pitch, the blade is optimized for smooth, fine cutting on thin-wall and solid stock. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors as well as metalworking shops and fabricators rely on this blade for precision cuts on a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This blade is suited for horizontal and vertical bandsaw machines in commercial shops, mechanical rooms, and fabrication facilities. Its 24 TPI constant pitch makes it well-matched for cutting thin sections of alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as wood. The wavy tooth set reduces blade vibration and minimizes burr on finished cuts. Trades that regularly cut conduit, pipe, bar stock, and structural shapes will find this blade appropriate for both production runs and service work where a pre-welded loop blade is preferred over a coil-stock option.
Designed for bandsaw machines that accept a 15-foot 9-inch blade loop with a 0.5-inch blade width. Verify wheel diameter, blade guide clearance, and tension ratings on the host saw before installation.
Bandsaw blade replacement should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with the host machine. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Verify blade tension and guide bearing alignment per the saw manufacturer specifications before running the machine. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade loop, as the teeth are sharp across the full length.
