The LENOX 81796D2B62030 is a bi-metal welded bandsaw blade designed for contour cutting across a wide range of metals and other materials. The blade measures 6 feet 8 inches long and 0.035 inches thick, with a 1/2-inch width and a 4 teeth-per-inch (TPI) constant pitch. The hook tooth form and positive rake angle promote aggressive chip clearance, making this blade well-suited for interrupted cuts and variable-thickness workpieces. The M42 high-speed steel (HSS) tooth material delivers elevated heat and wear resistance, while the spring steel back provides flexibility and fatigue resistance during continuous band operation.
This blade is intended for use on vertical or horizontal band saws in metal fabrication, maintenance, and manufacturing environments. It handles a broad range of materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as wood. The single-level tooth set and milled cutting edge contribute to consistent kerf geometry across these applications. Installation is performed by licensed machinists, fabricators, or trade mechanics performing general-purpose metal cutting tasks.
Designed as an OEM-style welded bandsaw blade replacement for band saws accepting a 1/2-inch wide blade with a 6-foot 8-inch loop length.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or fabricator. Power down and lock out the band saw at the main disconnect before removing or installing the blade. Verify wheel tracking and blade tension per the saw manufacturer guidelines before running. Always wear cut-resistant gloves when handling bandsaw blades, as the toothed edge presents a laceration hazard during coiling and threading.
