The LENOX 81358CLB92970 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for continuous cutting on horizontal and vertical band saws in metal fabrication and maintenance shops. It measures 9 feet 9 inches in length and 0.75 inches wide, with a 0.035-inch blade thickness and a 0.058-inch kerf width. The variable 4 to 6 TPI tooth pitch uses a Vari-Raker tooth set and positive rake angle to reduce vibration, improve chip clearance, and extend blade life across a wide range of material thicknesses. The M42 high speed steel tooth tips bonded to a spring steel back give this blade its bi-metal durability. It is part of the LENOX Classic series and is sold individually.
This blade is suited for metal-cutting band saws in production, job shop, and MRO environments. The variable pitch tooth form handles structural profiles, solid rounds, and tubing without the harmonic chatter common in constant-pitch blades. Material compatibility includes alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals, making it a versatile choice for shops cutting mixed stock. It is not intended for contour or radius cutting applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit welded blade for horizontal and vertical metal-cutting band saws accepting a 9-foot 9-inch by 0.75-inch blade.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with band saw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the saw before replacing the blade. Verify wheel diameter and blade guide spacing match the blade width and thickness before tensioning. Follow the saw manufacturer's recommended break-in procedure to seat the tooth set and extend blade life.
