The LENOX 80274D2B123810 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for production and maintenance cutting across a wide range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Measuring 12 feet 6 inches in length and 0.5 inches in width, this blade runs at a variable pitch of 10 to 14 TPI, which reduces vibration and improves cut finish compared to fixed-pitch designs. The tooth material is M42 high-speed steel bonded to a spring steel back, delivering edge retention under demanding cutting conditions. It is part of the LENOX Classic series and is intended for installation by machinists, metal fabricators, and maintenance trades operating vertical or horizontal bandsaws.
This blade is suited for use on bandsaws cutting alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, structural steel, aluminum, other non-ferrous metals, and wood. The variable pitch and Vari-Raker tooth set make it well-matched for cutting mixed-section stock, tubing, and solid bar where chip load varies through the cut. The 0.043-inch kerf width allows for efficient material removal without excessive waste. Typical applications include job shop fabrication, maintenance repair operations, and light industrial cutting environments where blade life and cut quality are both priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style welded replacement blade for vertical and horizontal bandsaws accepting a 12-foot 6-inch by 0.5-inch blade with a 0.025-inch blade thickness and standard tooth spacing in the 10-14 TPI range.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or metalworking technician with the machine fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Verify wheel diameter, throat capacity, and blade guide spacing on the host machine before mounting to confirm dimensional fit. Tension and track the blade according to the bandsaw manufacturer specifications before returning the machine to service. Eye protection and cut-resistant gloves are standard PPE during blade handling and installation.
