The LENOX 80271D2B123810 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for contour cutting across a wide range of metals and materials. The blade measures 12 feet 6 inches long and 0.5 inches wide, with a 0.025-inch thickness and a variable pitch of 14 to 18 TPI. The tooth edge is milled and set in a wavy pattern with no rake angle, delivering smooth, controlled cuts and reduced blade vibration. The M42 high speed steel tooth tips are fusion-welded to a spring steel back, combining edge retention with fatigue resistance. This is the LENOX Classic series blade, appropriate for production cutting environments. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors, as well as metalworking shops, rely on this blade type for consistent performance in demanding cut cycles.
This blade is suited for cutting alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metals, and wood. The variable pitch design reduces harmonic vibration during cutting, making it effective for both thin-wall tubing and solid bar stock. The 0.043-inch kerf width provides clean, burr-minimized cuts in a variety of material thicknesses. Typical applications include job-site fabrication, mechanical room rough-in work, pipe and structural steel cutting, and shop-based production use. Contour cutting capability is confirmed for this blade.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement blade for bandsaw machines accepting a 12-foot 6-inch loop length with a 0.5-inch blade width and 0.025-inch blade thickness.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with bandsaw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lock out the bandsaw fully before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade, as edges are sharp during uncoiling and threading. Verify wheel guides and blade guides are set per the machine manufacturer specifications before resuming operation.
