The LENOX 80171D2B51665 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for precision cutting across a wide range of metal and non-metal materials. Measuring 65.5 inches in length and 0.5 inches wide with a 0.025-inch blade thickness, it uses a variable 10 to 14 TPI pitch pattern to balance cutting speed with surface finish. The tooth edge is manufactured from M42 high speed steel bonded to a spring steel back, a combination that delivers heat and wear resistance under continuous load. This blade is installed by machinists, maintenance mechanics, and fabricators working with bandsaws in shop and production environments.
This blade is suited for contour and straight cutting in both light fabrication and production settings. Its variable pitch and Vari-Raker tooth set reduce vibration and chatter when working through interrupted cuts or varying cross-sections. Compatible material applications include alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as wood. It is a strong fit for shops requiring a reliable general-purpose blade that transitions across multiple material types without a blade change.
Designed as a welded-loop replacement blade for bandsaw machines accepting a 65.5-inch blade length and 0.5-inch blade width in the LENOX Classic series.
Bandsaw blade installation and tensioning should be performed by a qualified technician following the machine manufacturer's guidelines. Power down and lock out the bandsaw before removing the old blade or mounting the new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled bandsaw blades. Verify blade tension, tracking, and guide alignment before returning the machine to service.
