The LENOX 79704CLB82500 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in professional shop and trade environments. Measuring 98.5 inches long and 3/4 inch wide with a 0.035-inch blade thickness, it runs a variable pitch of 8 to 12 TPI for efficient chip clearance across a wide range of stock sizes. The M42 high speed steel tooth tips are bonded to a spring steel back, giving the blade both heat resistance at the cutting edge and fatigue resistance throughout the body. HVAC fabricators, plumbers, pipefitters, and general metalworkers who run vertical or horizontal bandsaws will find this blade suited to continuous production cutting.
This blade is intended for contour and straight cutting of alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch and Vari-Raker tooth set reduce harmonic vibration during cuts, which translates to a smoother kerf and longer blade life. It is well suited for job-shop environments where operators switch regularly between different stock profiles and material types. The 0.058-inch kerf width minimizes material waste on each pass.
Designed as a direct-fit welded bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical bandsaw machines that accept a 98.5-inch blade loop in 3/4-inch width. Verify your machine's blade length specification and wheel spacing before installation.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tradesperson familiar with bandsaw equipment. Disconnect power to the saw and release blade tension fully before removing the old blade or mounting the new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the coiled blade, as the toothed edge presents a laceration hazard. Set blade tension and guide bearings per the bandsaw manufacturer's specifications before resuming operation.
