The LENOX 79698CLB92745 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade designed for continuous-loop installation on vertical and horizontal bandsaws in metal-cutting applications. The blade runs 9 feet in length and 3/4 inch wide, with a 0.035-inch blade thickness and a variable-pitch tooth form ranging from 8 to 12 TPI. The tooth material is M42 high speed steel, a cobalt-alloy grade known for heat resistance and extended edge life when cutting hard or abrasive materials. The Vari-Raker tooth set reduces vibration and improves chip evacuation across a range of workpiece thicknesses. This blade is suited for fabrication shops, maintenance facilities, and trade contractors who cut structural, alloy, or stainless steel stock on a regular basis.
This blade is intended for metal-cutting bandsaw applications where a single blade must handle varying stock sizes and multiple material types. The variable pitch tooth form reduces harmonic vibration on thin-wall tubing and solid bar alike. Compatible material applications include alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. It is a practical general-purpose blade for shops that cut mixed material inventories without changing blades between jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for metal-cutting bandsaws accepting a 9-foot blade loop with a 3/4-inch blade width.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with bandsaw blade tensioning and tracking procedures. Power down and lockout the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing a new one. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling coiled or uncoiled blade stock. Verify blade tension, tracking alignment, and guide bearing clearance before resuming operation, following the saw manufacturer's service documentation.
