The LENOX 79691CLB92745 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for demanding cutting in metal fabrication and industrial maintenance applications. The blade measures 9 feet in length and 3/4 inch wide with a 0.035-inch back thickness, running a variable 10 to 14 TPI pitch pattern with a Vari-Raker tooth set. The M42 high-speed steel tooth material provides heat and wear resistance during prolonged cuts through hard alloys and stainless steel. A spring steel back offers the flexibility needed to handle the continuous stress of bandsaw operation without fatigue cracking. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical contractors commonly keep bi-metal blades on hand for cutting pipe, strut, and structural steel during installation work.
This blade is suited for cutting a broad range of materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch design reduces harmonics and vibration during the cut, which helps extend blade life and improves surface finish on cut edges. It is appropriate for use on standard horizontal and vertical bandsaws in shop and job-site environments where consistent, repeatable metal cuts are required. Contour cutting is not a recommended application for this blade.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade suitable for standard 9-foot bandsaw machines used in metal-cutting applications across alloy steel, aluminum, non-ferrous metal, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, and tool steel.
Blade installation should be performed by qualified personnel following the bandsaw manufacturer's guidelines. Disconnect and lock out power to the saw before removing the old blade or installing this one. Verify blade tracking and tension according to the machine's service documentation before resuming operation. Eye protection and cut-resistant gloves are recommended when handling bandsaw blades.
