The LENOX 79687CLB92920 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for continuous cutting operations on metal-cutting bandsaws. The blade measures 9 feet 7 inches in length and 3/4 inch wide with a 0.035-inch body thickness and a kerf width of 0.058 inches. The cutting edge uses a variable pitch, vari-raker tooth set in the 10 to 14 TPI range, which reduces vibration and harmonic resonance during the cut. The M42 high speed steel tooth tips are electron-beam welded to a spring steel back, combining edge retention with flex fatigue resistance. This blade is installed by machinists and metal fabricators on horizontal or vertical bandsaw machines in shop and production environments.
This blade is suited for cutting a broad range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, structural steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch tooth form makes it effective across varying cross-sections and wall thicknesses, reducing the need to swap blades between material types. It is a practical choice for job shops, maintenance facilities, and fabrication operations where mixed-material cutting is common.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for metal-cutting bandsaw machines that accept a 9-foot 7-inch blade length at 3/4-inch width.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or metalworking technician with the bandsaw fully de-energized and the machine guard removed per the saw manufacturer's procedure. Verify wheel-to-wheel distance matches the blade length before tensioning, and set blade tension and guide bearings according to the bandsaw manufacturer's specifications for 3/4-inch blade width. Do not exceed the recommended blade speed for the material being cut, and allow a brief break-in period at reduced feed rate on initial use to seat the tooth set and extend blade life.
