The LENOX 41190GTB195840 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for high-demand metal cutting in professional shop and industrial environments. Measuring 19 feet 2 inches in length and 1-1/2 inches wide with a 0.05-inch blade thickness, it runs on horizontal and vertical band saws sized for production or structural cutting. The variable-pitch tooth form at 2 to 3 TPI reduces vibration and harmonics during cuts, extending blade life and improving surface finish. High Speed Steel M42 teeth are ground and Vari-Set for aggressive material removal across a broad range of metals. This blade is a fit for licensed machinists, metalworking fabricators, and tool room technicians.
This blade is suited for production sawing of alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, tool steel, mold steel, bearing steel, nickel alloy, titanium, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The LENOX Contestor GT series targets applications where a single blade must handle varied material cross-sections and intermittent cuts without frequent blade changes. It is appropriate for structural shops, job shops, and MRO operations where material mix changes frequently. The positive rake angle and variable pitch pattern make it especially effective on solid bar, tubing, and structural profiles.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement welded bandsaw blade for horizontal and vertical band saws accepting a 1-1/2-inch wide blade at a 19-foot 2-inch loop length. Verify your saw's wheel diameter and blade guide spacing against these dimensions before installation.
Bandsaw blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or shop technician familiar with blade tensioning procedures. Power down and lock out the saw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Confirm wheel tracking and blade guide clearance before powering on. Follow the saw manufacturer's tension specifications for 1-1/2-inch wide bi-metal blades, and run a brief break-in cycle at reduced feed rate to seat the tooth set properly.
