The LENOX 39927CLB144420 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade engineered for demanding metal-cutting applications in industrial and fabrication environments. Measuring 14 feet 6 inches in length and 1 inch wide with a 0.035-inch blade thickness, it fits standard vertical and horizontal bandsaws sized for that blade length. The blade runs a variable 6 to 8 teeth per inch (TPI) pitch pattern with a Vari-Raker tooth set, which helps reduce vibration and cutting noise while improving chip evacuation across a range of material thicknesses. The M42 high-speed steel tooth material provides heat and wear resistance during sustained cutting cycles. Licensed tradespeople and fabrication machinists are the primary installers and users of this blade.
This blade is suited for cutting a broad range of metals including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The variable pitch design makes it particularly effective when cutting bundles, structural shapes, or varying cross-sections where a fixed-pitch blade would chatter or load up. It is not designed for contour cutting. Typical use is in production or maintenance-shop environments where consistent, straight cuts on metal stock are required.
Designed as a direct-fit welded replacement blade for bandsaw machines that accept a 14-foot 6-inch blade length with a 1-inch blade width. Verify your machine's blade length specification and wheel diameter before installation.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or maintenance technician familiar with bandsaw equipment. Disconnect and lock out power to the bandsaw before removing the old blade or installing the new one. Set blade tension and blade guide clearances according to the bandsaw manufacturer's specifications — do not estimate tension by feel alone. Wear cut-resistant gloves when handling the blade, and inspect blade welds for integrity before first use.
