The LENOX 27497D2B113505 is a welded bi-metal bandsaw blade built for continuous contour cutting on metal and structural materials. The blade measures 11 feet 6 inches in length and 3/8 inches wide, with a 0.025-inch back thickness and a variable pitch tooth configuration ranging from 14 to 18 TPI. The tooth material is M42 high speed steel set in a wavy pattern, which reduces vibration and extends blade life during variable-load cuts. A spring steel back provides flex resistance and consistent tracking on bandsaw wheels. Licensed HVAC techs, pipefitters, and metal fabricators working with structural or stainless materials will recognize the Classic Series construction as suited for demanding shop and field applications.
This blade is designed for use on horizontal and vertical bandsaws in both shop and light industrial settings. It handles a wide range of materials including alloy steel, carbon steel, stainless steel, structural steel, tool steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals, as well as wood. The variable pitch tooth form reduces harmonics during the cut, making it effective on irregular sections, bundled stock, and thin-wall tubing where a fixed-pitch blade would chatter or bind. It is packaged and sold as a single blade.
Designed to fit bandsaws accepting an 11-foot 6-inch welded loop blade with a 3/8-inch width. Verify wheel spacing, blade guides, and drive wheel crown profile on the target saw before installation.
Blade installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with bandsaw setup and blade tensioning procedures. Disconnect and lock out power to the saw before changing blades. Set blade tension and tracking according to the saw manufacturer specifications, and confirm blade guide clearances are adjusted for the 3/8-inch blade width before resuming cuts. Do not exceed the maximum blade speed rating of the saw for the material being cut.
