The LENOX 21082B418GR is a bi-metal reciprocating saw blade engineered for demanding cutting tasks in metal, wood, and mixed-material applications. Each blade measures 4 inches in length and 3/4 inch in width, with an 18 teeth-per-inch (TPI) tooth count suited for controlled, precise cuts in thinner stock and pipe. The bi-metal construction bonds a high-speed steel cutting edge to a flexible alloy steel backing, giving the blade both edge retention and resistance to snap-breakage under lateral load. An applied titanium nitride (TiN) coating on the teeth reduces friction and dissipates heat during extended cuts, helping the blade stay sharp longer than uncoated alternatives.
These blades are designed for reciprocating saws used in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general construction trades. Typical applications include cutting conduit, copper and steel pipe, sheet metal, plastic pipe, and nail-embedded wood during demolition or rough-in work. The 18 TPI configuration is best suited for thinner-walled tubing and sheet goods where a finer tooth pattern reduces burring and improves cut quality. Sold as a pack, they are practical for shops and service vehicles where blade inventory turns over regularly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement blade compatible with standard reciprocating saw tool chucks accepting universal shank blade profiles.
Blade changes must be performed with the saw unplugged or the battery removed. Licensed electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians should verify the blade TPI is appropriate for the material wall thickness before cutting. Use blade guards and appropriate PPE, including eye protection, when operating reciprocating saws. Secure the workpiece before cutting to prevent blade deflection and premature wear.
